Was bedeutet Vintage?
Vintage-Sonnenbrillen und –Brillen sind Originale der vergangenen Tage (50er bis 90er Jahre), deren „Look“ jetzt wieder aktuell und gefragt ist, und die als Accessoire zur heutigen, sich oft an früheren Zeiten orientierenden Mode getragen werden. Berühmten Trägern waren: John Lennon, David Bowie, Yoko Ono und viele andere Berühmtheiten wie Jackie O., Woody Allen oder Andy Warhol wurden Trendsetter in Brillen.
Aufgrund einer steigenden Nachfrage nach Vintage-Produkten werden zunehmend neugemachte, günstig hergestellte Brillen als „Vintage“ angeboten. Hier wäre eigentlich die Bezeichnung „Vintage- oder Retro-Look“ korrekt. Ab den 90ern wurden Brillen mit dem Aufdruck „CE“ am Bügel gekennzeichnet – diese sind nicht echtes Vintage sondern eine Neuauflage des Originals oder schlichtweg ein Nachbau.

Warum Vintage? Ist es eine Rückbesinnung auf Vertrautes, Zeitloses – ein „back to the roots“? Ist es die unterschwellige Sehnsucht nach den „guten, alten, besseren Zeiten“, nach Qualität, handwerklichem Können und wertbeständigen Materialien?
Was bedeutet Vintage?
Vintage-Sonnenbrillen und –Brillen sind Originale der vergangenen Tage (50er bis 90er Jahre), deren „Look“ jetzt wieder aktuell und gefragt ist, und die als Accessoire zur heutigen, sich oft an früheren Zeiten orientierenden Mode getragen werden. Berühmten Trägern waren: John Lennon, David Bowie, Yoko Ono und viele andere Berühmtheiten wie Jackie O., Woody Allen oder Andy Warhol wurden Trendsetter in Brillen.
Aufgrund einer steigenden Nachfrage nach Vintage-Produkten werden zunehmend neugemachte, günstig hergestellte Brillen als „Vintage“ angeboten. Hier wäre eigentlich die Bezeichnung „Vintage- oder Retro-Look“ korrekt. Ab den 90ern wurden Brillen mit dem Aufdruck „CE“ am Bügel gekennzeichnet – diese sind nicht echtes Vintage sondern eine Neuauflage des Originals oder schlichtweg ein Nachbau.
